Carol has been creating art since childhood. While growing up she was influenced by her mom's painting and artistic siblings. For more than twenty years she worked in package design, marketing, marketing communications and advertising where she applied her artistic and creative skills to meet her clients' needs.
Now she is enjoying retirement and the time it affords her to pursue her love for painting. Carol is inspired by what makes her happy - flowers, plants, animals, landscapes, barns, holidays and parties. Original ideas come to her from her life experiences and what she sees while out and about. She is forever with her camera and takes pictures of what she thinks can be turned into a card that everyone will enjoy. She has also drawn made to order cards for invitations, thank yous, birthdays and holidays.
Carol lives in Napa with her husband Doug Marx. Together they enjoy the great outdoors while hiking, kayaking, biking, skiing and traveling. Carol’s lifelong passion is horses and she rides in Napa as often as she can. Carol is a member of the Arts Council of Napa Valley. She continues to learn more about her craft by taking classes through Napa College, Napa Adult Education and Napa Community Education.
