Nature, traveling, literature and love inspire my art. My journey into the world of art started when I moved to
Napa, 22 years ago. Though I was born in
Toronto, Canada and raised in the heart of LA, it was
Napa that provided the fertile ground for my artistic growth. My artwork, done in mainly acrylic, oil and monotype art mediums has been seen in many
Napa group shows and two solo exhibits.
Water reflections and skyscapes are particularly fascinating to me because the water and sky are continuously changing. When I am observing the sky I feel connected to something greater than myself, the water's reflection is very calming and increases my creativity.
My love of beauty lead me to the field of make-up. I worked as a make-up artist and started my own line of cosmetics. Living in
Napa, and it’s ever-changing scenery, my desire to express myself through art became apparent to me. I also studied psychology at
Sonoma
State. Wanting to combine my study of psychology and art, I was attracted to art therapy and volunteered at the
Counseling
Center in
Napa and C.O.P.E.
My work reflects ethereal, dream-like states of nature. Combining my love of color, texture and warmth, I create pieces that depict the feelings I receive from nature. My philosophy about life is that thoughts create reality, so my hope is that my artwork will inspire positive energy to all who view it, and encourage people to believe in a positive reality for their own lives and the universe.
Presently I am creating my website, ArtForYourCause.com where you can view my art and contact me if you would like me to donate a painting to raise money for various charities. I donate my artwork to support nonprofit agencies in
Napa and schools. I work out of my home studio in
