As a son of an architect, I grew up in Palo Alto surrounded by drawings and designs. Having inherited my dad's eye for intricacy and linear design, I have been drawing as long as I can remember. Pursuing my interest, I studied art at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris and Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. I found employment in LA in the movie industry. My first job was as a set illustrator for MGM studios in Culver City. Later I worked freelance within and outside the movie industry. My journey as a designer, enabled me to travel all over the country and work with celebrities such as Gene Wilder, Ann-Margret, Diana Ross, Elizabeth Montgomery, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Johnny Carson, Lucille Ball and many more.
After moving back to the Bay Area, I decided to concentrate on a new, more tranquil life and to create the humorous art that seems to come easily. I have always loved commercial work, which means I solve other people's design problems. I am now doing work for myself, drawing thethings in my head, finally putting them down on paper. fantasy people and architectural confections with a touch of satire. I pland to draw as long as my eyes and hands permit. In Napa, I have found and made the life I have always wanted. My wife and supporting fan, Peggy, has joined me in promoting art and the local art community.
