Nicky Falkenhayn is a sculptor living in Portland, Oregon. She spent the first half of her life as a PE and sports instructor, traveling 3 times around the world. Once settled in Portland in 1990, art became the focus of her life. Classes at Oregon ollege of Art & Craft and Pacific Northwest College of Art, launched her as a fiber artists. After the birth of her son, she changed to sculpture and jewelry. Her work often combines heavy welded steel structures with plate glass or knitted wire accents.
