Arts & Culture Advisory Board

Introduction

The Advisory Board are a group of representatives from non-profit Arts & Culture organizations in Napa County. The Board was established in 2006 as an opportunity for organizations to meet each other, network, partner and present issues to create a more cohesive arts and culture community within the county. The Board meets quarterly with Arts Council Napa Valley as the umbrella organization coordinating the gathering. Each meeting has a set topical agenda such as "marketing" for a proactive approach in relationship-building and goal-setting with the ultimate objective of staying economically sustainable for all. The Board is a product of the Cultural Plan strategy to "Maximize and Mine Arts Resources" in Napa County. Below are participants of the Arts & Culture Advisory Board. This group is open to all arts and culture non-profits in Napa County. If you wish to join the Board, please call the Arts Council at 257-2117.

Current Status

Thank you for all of those who participated in the last meeting at the Lincoln Theater on Wednesday, February 3, 2010. ACNV's top meeting agenda is to propose an "October Arts Month Celebration". Amongst the arts organizations present, the consensus was "yes". The next meeting will be held at the Napa Valley Museum on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 to start forming the "October Arts Month Celebration". Please come prepared to how your organization can build upon this concept and start scheduling arts and culture events centered around this celebration.
