Cultural Plan

Napa Valley Arts & Culture Alliance

The Alliance was formed with the intention of community-building, to meet fellow arts colleagues, and to network. The opportunity for those interested in supporting the arts---to come together to network and pool resources---will ultimately and hopefully result with a more unified and vibrant arts community in Napa County.

Upcoming Dates

Arts Administrators, artists and arts patrons are welcome to join the Arts & Culture Alliance Mixers. The mixers occur every other month and are located at various restaurants in downtown Napa. Event details are advertised via email, on NVarts.org and Facebook.

History of Alliance

The Napa Valley Arts and Culture Alliance (NVACA) started more than a decade ago to create a network among the arts and culture non-profit organizations in Napa County in order to provide a means of mutual support, communication and exchange of ideas among them. The original concept of supporting the arts & culture in Napa County has been fulfilled and Arts Council Napa Valley has incorporated many of NVACA's goals in its activities. The current purpose of the NVACA is to create a network among arts and culture non-profit organizations, independent artists (visual, musical, etc.) and patrons of the arts and culture in order to provide a means of mutual support, communication and exchange of ideas among them. Originally an independent non-profit organization, the NVACA is now a sub-group of the Arts Council, meeting for happy hour to gather the staff and leaders of our county's arts and culture organizations.

Kristie Shepard is honored to have the leadership torch passed to her from Susan Kennelly, who has been an active participant in supporting arts & culture in the Valley for decades. She strongly believes in the benefits of professional networking to better our organizations and ourselves. She is thrilled to be the chair of the NVACA and looks forward to working (and drinking) with you.
