FLEETING MOMENTS: ZAKRON

Photography is a decisive slice of time be it caught spontaneously or staged. It presents a particular individual or a group of people in a captured fragment of time, such as "Meet the Makers". My curiosity and intent is to explore the world via my camera and reveal the interaction of photographer and subject. It is my way that reflects these humans with respect and fun, places that I would lounge and eat. A selected place would visually delight and excite my palette for a memorable experience or not!
As all experiences, I wander from place to place seeking what is and relish in its difference. Just as I taste and swallow, shoot and capture the memory of moments are fleeting.
It's a beautiful day in the ephemeral neighborhood.
Biography: Although I didn’t ask this question, I think it’s safe to say photographer Ron Zak is happiest in a far-flung locale with a camera in his hand. From Paris and Italy to Greece and the Baltics, China and Vietnam, to Myranmar, Indonesia and dozens of places in between, Zak’s travels have kept him and many an immigration officer busy.
His most recent excursion was Laos and Thailand – where he guided a group of 15 photography students. His lusted-after tours are done through Solano Community College and students must be serious about photography to tag along. The course is for credit – three – with an age range anywhere from early 20s to late 60s. Read more...
