Arts Council of Napa County and the Napa Valley Opera House Present Haunted Opera House Masquerade Party! Celebrating the Culmination of Napa Valley ARTS '11

October 3, 2011, NAPA, CA -- The Arts Council of Napa Valley and the Napa Valley Opera House present the Haunted Opera House Masquerade Party on Friday, October 28th, from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m. at the Napa Valley Opera House, located at 1030 Main St. in downtown Napa, CA. The Haunted Opera House Masquerade Party celebrates the culmination of Napa Valley ARTS '11, the month-long celebration of the arts and culture in the Napa Valley.

The Haunted Opera House Masquerade Party features terrific Napa Valley wines offered at $5 per glass, including Judd's Hill, Toolbox Wines, Baldacci Family Vineyards, Stonehedge and Round Pond, along with complimentary tasty treats provided by Carpe Diem and Zuzu, with Annie's Spooky Mini Cookies from Annie the Baker to satisfy even Dracula's sweet tooth! Napa Valley historian George Weber will lead "ghost tours" of the Opera House, complete with scintillating tales of the Opera House's past, and guests are encouraged to preview their halloween costumes at this all-adult affair. In addition, several of the Napa Valley's most distinguished artists have donated "masks" for a special raffle, and attendees will enjoy deejay dancing by Napa Valley DJs until close to the witching hour.

Tickets for the Haunted Opera House Masquerade Party are $25 per person, and are available at www.nvoh.org, or by calling the Napa Valley Opera House box office at 707-226-7372. Proceeds will benefit the Napa Valley Opera House and the Arts Council of Napa Valley.

The Haunted Opera House Masquerade Party is part of Napa Valley ARTS '11, a valley-wide, month-long celebration of arts and culture. Throughout October, Napa Valley ARTS '11 offers over 170 diverse events hosted by over 55 presenters to satisfy the cravings of even the most serious art and culture lovers. From Calistoga and St. Helena in the north, to the City of Napa and American Canyon in the south, ARTS '11 celebrates the breadth of local arts and culture, from music, visual arts, theater, dance and comedy to guided hiking trips, community fairs, parades, and workshops from plein air painting to cooking and beyond.

Napa Valley ARTS '11 is presented by Arts Council Napa Valley, and is made possible through the support of Napa County; Napa Valley Destination Council; Napa Tourism Improvement District; Napa Valley Community Foundation; KVON/KVYN; William and Flora Hewlett Foundation; California Arts Council, a state agency; and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
