October 12, 2011, Napa, CA -- The Napa Valley celebrates its vibrant arts and culture scene the entire month of October during Napa Valley ARTS '11, providing proof that the artistry of the Valley is not limited to what you'll find inside the bottle or from the kitchen. Tasting rooms are buzzing, wine is fermenting in the cellar and the Valley's restaurants are exploding with the incredible local harvest...and arts and culture take center stage for valley residents and visitors alike.
Over half the month of October remains, with an incredible amount of diverse events still available, ranging from art openings, world-class musical performances at the Valley's three world-class musical venues - the Napa Valley Opera House, Uptown Theatre, and Lincoln Theater - and cooking classes and tastings that celebrate the culinary arts. And at the end of it all, you can get your Halloween spirit going at the myriad of spooky events during the closing week and weekend, October 25 - 30, including the Vintage High School Annual Haunted House on the 25 -27th, the Haunted Opera House Masquerade Party on the 28th, the Downtown Napa Halloween Family Day and 20th Napa Valley AIDS Walk Spooktacular on the 29th, and the Dia de los Muertos Community Celebration on the 30th.
The complete online calendar, plus downloadable digital calendar of all the events can be found at www.NVarts.org. Email your name and phone number to NVArts@legendarynapavalley.com for a chance to win one of five limited edition art glass wine coasters by renown Napa Valley artist Gordon Huether.
From music, visual arts, theater, dance and comedy, to guided hiking trips, community fairs, parades, and workshops from plein air painting to cooking and beyond, there will be no excuses to answering the question "what will we do after tasting wonderful wines and enjoying fantastic dining?" From Calistoga and St. Helena in the north, to the cities of Napa and American Canyon in the south, Napa Valley ARTS '11 provides something for everyone looking to artistically complement their time in the legendary Napa Valley at this special time of year.
