Revolving Door Art (RDA) is an Arts Council Napa Valley program that matches Napa County organizations with local artists for artwork exhibitions at their place of business. The program is a great option for economical interior decorating that can save an organization thousands of dollars having to not purchase permanent art, and to display new, fresh work throughout the year. Above all else, nothing is better than supporting the Napa Valley artists' community!
Art can make a big difference in the look and feel of a business. It can dramatically shift the perception and feeling of customers coming through the doors. The Arts Council handles every aspect of putting on a professional fine art exhibition from finding the most appropriate works of art, scheduling a line-up throughout the year---to professionally curating the show so that the business can focus on doing business!
The organization has the option of hosting an Opening Art Reception which allows the public to meet the artist and also has the side benefit of raising awareness of the merchant's offerings. The Council promotes the organization as a special "Patron of the Arts" highlighting the Opening Reception on the Arts Council Napa Valley Arts & Culture Event Calendar, NVarts.org, and through the popular Arts Council Facebook Fan Page!
The Arts Council provides an online Artist Registry where the organization can preview the works of over 100 Napa Valley artists. The RDA Coordinator assists the organization in selecting the artist or artists which includes choosing the media such as sculptures, paintings to photography, style of art such as impressionism to abstract, dimensions, and number of pieces appropriate for the space.
The organization can choose a rotating exhibtion changing artists every 3, 6, 9, or an "Artist in Residence" for up to a year or more.
The Arts Council RDA Coordinator curates and hangs each exhibition, provides art tags and artist informational sheets for each exhibition.
Please check back shortly as ACNV is reviewing the pricing structure for the RDA Program for 2010. The one-time fee is for exhibitions of 3, 6, 9, 12 months. The business must be a member of the Arts Council to participate in the RDA program; click here to become an "Arts Council Business-level Member". An RDA Contract will be provided for the organization with copies to the artist and the Arts Council as an agreement between all parties.
Click here to become an "Arts Council Registered Artist Member". Once you have become a member, you will be sent a link within 48 hours to join the Artist Registry and provided the steps to have your information appear within the Registry. Click here to learn more about the Artist Registry.
