ACNVEA: 150 Year Celebration for Salvador Art Magnet School

At the end of May, the community will celebrate Salvador Magnet School’s sesquicentennial. The public is invited to the celebration on May 30 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. with an art shows, student performances, campus tours, games, food, water play and much fanfare.

150 years ago, a school was created in the small town of Napa, California surrounded by walnut trees and fruit orchards.  The evolution of the school was gradual but dramatic in scope becoming an award-winning arts magnet school in the Napa Valley Unified School District. At the end of May, the community will celebrate Salvador Magnet School’s sesquicentennial.  The public is invited to the celebration on May 30 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. with an art shows, student performances, campus tours, games, food, water play and much fanfare.

This year, this enriched learning environment will yet again evolve. There will be a consolidation of Salvador Magnet School and El Centro Elementary School. Beginning with the school year, 2018-19, students in grades TK – 5 will attend the renovated magnet school campus at 1480 El Centro Avenue. The commitment to the arts integration program and the quality educational opportunities will be available to even more NVUSD students.
