Arts Council Napa Valley is hosting the first annual countywide State of the Arts meeting on February 17th, 2015, beginning at 5pm, at the Napa Valley Performing Arts Center at Lincoln Theater. ACNV encourages all artists, advocates, administrators, board members, creative professionals and community leaders to join in this convening of stakeholders. In this inaugural year, attendees will be oriented to the general environment for the arts, key changes since the development of the 2009 Napa County Cultural Plan, as well as an organizational briefing on ACNV and its new three year strategic plan.
Speakers will take a look at a wide variety of topics from understanding local demographics and the economic landscape to guest presentations by the Napa County Alliance for Arts Education, Visit Napa Valley, and the 2015 Napa Valley Arts in April producer.
“The arts play an important role in the social health, spirit, and economic development of society. And, like any other industry, the well-being of the arts is dependent on an organized group of passionate, informed and thoughtful advocates. For this reason, arts council board and team are excited to bring our community together, share the work of the past three years, and discuss ways you can help bring equitable and meaningful access to the arts for all.”
– Carlene Moore, Board Chair Arts Council Napa Valley.
This event is open to the public. Registration is free for ACNV members and $10 for prospective members.
