Napa County Board of Supervisors Names Writers Week

The Napa County Board of Supervisors issued a proclamation naming the third week of October Writers Week in the County of Napa.

On Tuesday, October 4, Alfredo Pedroza, on behalf of the Napa County Board of Supervisors issued a proclamation naming the third week of October, Writers Week in the County of Napa. The proclamation was presented to Kathleen Thomas, President of Napa Valley Writers, a branch of California Writers Club. Kathleen echoes the sentiment expressed in the last paragraph of the proclamation, which encourages the people of Napa County to reflect upon the contributions California writers have made to humankind. On Saturday, October 22, 12-2pm, a celebration of Napa County’s talented authors will take place at Napa Bookmine. Published authors will be available to sign copies of their books available for purchase. A portion of book sales will benefit Napa Valley Writers. For more information on this event, please see Napa Bookmine Local Authors Celebration. We hope you’ll be joining us.

Napa Valley Writers, a branch of California Writers Club, hosts monthly guest speaker meetings as well as workshops, open mic readings, salons, and other events focusing on the work writers in the valley.
