Arts Council Napa Valley invites you, as a patron and member, to be a participant in our governance by applying to serve on the board of directors or nominating an enthusiastic arts advocate in Napa County! The next board election will take place in June and nominations for the board are now open through May 18, 2018.
Arts Council seeks a wide range of candidates who reflect the diverse landscape of Napa County. All nominees must be a resident of or employed in Napa County. Self-nominations are welcome. Annually, new directors are elected by a majority vote of seated board members at the June meeting.

The Board of Directors strives to broadly represent Napa County’s community, including, but not limited to, working artists and representatives of arts organizations, community members, business leaders, educators, arts patrons and recipients of arts services, with geographic and cultural diversity within Napa County.
In addition to normal board governance activities, Arts Council board members provide strategic guidance to the organization’s leadership and serve as hands-on advocates for its mission. Read the Board Roles & Responsibilities sheet here.
