Important News & Postponements
Due to the earthquake, the Lucky Penny Town Hall meeting regarding the new Community Art Center that was to be held tonight, is now postponed. An update with a new date and time will be available soon.
The Napa County Alliance for Arts Education survey deadline will also be extended. New survey closing date coming shortly.

Our Status
Although the Arts Council office did take a hit, we are fortunate that we did not have severe damage and are now up and running. We appreciate everyone’s concern and are so fortunate to have such a supportive community. We are now here for you, to be your clearing house of post-earthquake arts recovery.

Let Us Know Your Status
We know many galleries and businesses took a big hit in the earthquake and we want to help you the best we can. That’s why we’d love to hear any status updates and communications of the damage the earthquake caused to your business and art studios as well as when you will be up and running and if you need any support and relief. Please email your updates to Olivia at olivia@artscouncilnv.org or to Membership at membership@artscouncilnv.org provide us with any updates and estimates of damage.
Help With the Local Arts Assessment
We are collecting and sharing information as individual artists and businesses are assessing damages and working towards recovery. While we know di Rosa, Napa Valley Art Association, Napa Valley Historical Society, and Napa Valley Opera House have suffered in damages as well as other art galleries and businesses, we also know many of you are back up and running. Check out ourFacebook page for current updates. Fortunately, as far as we can tell, only one public art piece in downtown Napa as part of the Napa ARTWalk is damaged.

Because of the extensive damage that the earthquake caused to businesses, galleries and studios all across Napa, we are here to provide any resources for possible support and relief efforts available from organizations to help you and your business recover. An Important Notice from Napa Chamber of Commerce
“Many businesses have reopened, however streets downtown continue to be blocked off. City officials are committed to reopen downtown Napa as quickly as possible and announced the following this morning:
- The two-way conversion of First and Second streets, originally scheduled for Wednesday, has been postponed. New date TBD.
- Building inspections expected to be completed today.
- Street closures will be reopened as water main breaks are evaluated and building status confirmed. If your building has been yellow-tagged, it is okay to enter and clean. Please use caution.
On a final note, as we prepare to embrace the many visitors expected in the Valley for the holiday weekend, Visit Napa Valley is compiling an updated hospitality “open for business” listing on their website. Please take a moment to email details of your hours of operation to concierge@visitnapavalley.com.
