Have Fun While Doing Good with Creative Change

Mar. 27, 2014 | Arts Council Napa Valley

Arts Council Napa Valley (ACNV) announces a new and unique way to experience the best of Napa Valley --- while doing good --- with the launch of Creative Change program in conjunction with Napa Valley Arts in April®.  Throughout the month of April, partnering businesses and wineries have added a benefit element to their event or activity by donating a percent of sales or offering an easy way for guests to contribute, to help ACNV meet its goal of $20,000 by June 30, 2014. Founding Creative Change Partners include The Napa Valley Wine Train, Jessup Cellars and City Winery with Silver Oak, Far Niente, Pride Mountain Vineyards, Gargiulo Vineyards, and Casa Piena.

During Napa Valley Wine Train’s month-long Napa Valley Arts in April® event, “Inspiration Station”, an exhibit that “showcases real and imagined depictions inspired by the Wine Train and its surroundings”, the Wine Train will donate $1 per ticket sold. “As 2014 marks our 25th anniversary in the Napa Valley, we are delighted to give back to the local community and thank them for their ongoing support of the Napa Valley Wine Train. As the Wine Train is considered a rolling museum and a treasure in the valley and the Arts Council Napa Valley strives to enrich the lives of the greater Napa community through arts and culture, we are honored to call the organization a partner.” said Napa Valley Wine Train Proprietor and Director of Marketing, Kira Devitt.  “We hope our donation of $1 for every rider in April helps the Arts Council Napa Valley reach their goal of $20,000.  We look forward to continuing our partnership with the Arts Council Napa Valley in the future.”

On Monday, April 28, City Winery is hosting the official album release party for David Pack’s Napa Crossroads. As part of its commitment to support Napa Valley non profits, City Winery's hosting of the Napa Crossroads release celebration will support Arts Council Napa Valley and the Napa Valley Education Foundation’s The Music Connection, helping keep music and arts alive in Napa Valley schools.  Winery partnering on the unique collaborative album and supporting this event include: Silver Oak, Far Niente, Pride Mountain Vineyards, Gargiulo Vineyards, and Casa Piena.

Jessup Cellars, following its tradition of charitable giving, will participate as a Creative Change Partner with the launch of their 2014 TasteMaker Speaker Series on Friday, April 11th at our Yountville Tasting Gallery for the opening night of Grammy Award-winning art director and fine artist Jenice Heo’s spring exhibition featuring her Neil Young Series.
