Join internationally acclaimed artist and activist Monica Jahan Bose for multimedia storytelling and art-making on an 18-foot sari!
Storytelling with Saris connects people around the world through art with action steps to address climate change in solidarity with the women from Katakhali, Bose's grandmother's, village, located on an island in coastal, Bangladesh.
The program includes an 18-foot high installation of hand painted saris, a multimedia presentation and film screening, and a hands-on sari art workshop for all ages.
Monica's art and associated activism on climate change has been featured on ABC News, by the Smithsonian's Folklife Magazine, by the film 30 Million, and in dozens of newspapers around the world.
