Artists' Rights and Creative License

The Crocker Art Museum and California Lawyers for the Arts | Crocker Art Museum, Sacramento, CA | February 1st, 2018

Sacramento has a long-standing history of being home to hundreds of artists and a thriving art scene. In order to help the region’s artists continue to advance, The Crocker Art Museum and California Lawyers for the Arts are proud to present an informative evening focusing on artist’s rights. Join Shelly Willis, former executive director of the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission; and Steve Davis, partner at the law firm of Davis and Leonard, in a discussion about the Visual Artists Rights Act, copyright, reproduction, licensing, and work for hire. Whether you are an active artist or just interested in what’s involved in creating and protecting artistic intellectual property, this event will be an engaging and education evening.
