Summer 2020 Emergency Fund Grant Recipients

Arts Council Napa Valley awards over $40,000 for local artists & arts education programs

NAPA, CA (July 2, 2020) – Thanks to funding provided by the William & Flora Hewlett Foundation, the Arts Council Napa Valley [ACNV] Emergency Fund, and the ACNV Education Alliance, Arts Council Napa Valley announces the summer 2020 Emergency Fund grant recipients. 15 local artists & organizations and 6 local schools received between $500 – $2,500 each, totaling $40,026 in funds awarded.

Awards reflect diverse artistic genres and disciplines – with the range of funded artists and school programs including performing arts shows, visual arts, and more. These grantees are supporting ACNV’s vision of enriching our community through arts and culture by supporting local individuals, organizations, and arts education programs that have suffered great losses due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Individual Artists 

Emergency Financial Assistance Grant recipients include 3 local performing artists (Music and Theater) and 10 local visual artists (Ceramics, Clothing Design, Crafting, Glass, Jewelry Design, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Textiles, and Woodworking) spanning from American Canyon to St. Helena.

This funding was provided by ACNV with generous support from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, the Arts Education Alliance Fund and the Napa Valley Arts Council Emergency Response Fund. Additional support was provided by a number of donors through the Giving Tuesday Now initiative.
