The hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, February 16 at the City Hall, 6:30pm. Public art is only part of this issue. The greater view relates to the relationship, current and future, of elected officials and the public at large to the arts and the art community. Art has been at the bottom of the City and County list of concerns for a very long time. On this occasion, if our voice is not loud and clear on the contribution the arts make to a balanced, wholesome public life, we will have suffered a major loss. A good turnout is indispensible, with as many of you speaking as are so inclined. Please plan to attend. ---Lee Block, ACNV Board Member, Commission for Arts & Culture
