Programs & Services
Arts Council Napa Valley (ACNV) was founded in 1980 to provide leadership that unites our exceptional arts and culture community of Napa County. Through innovative programming and continuous advocacy, ACNV works to unify and strengthen the voice of the local arts sector. Because of our diversified role in the nonprofit arts community, ACNV is uniquely suited to foster collaboration and communication between varied creative individuals, organizations, businesses and government. We are the stable foundation for our arts community to be built upon.
ARTIST OPPORTUNITIES Calls for artists, grant postings, audition notices, and residencies are updated bi-weekly on the Arts Council Napa Valley website, giving artists a viewfinder into the world of local creative opportunities. Artist members may additionally opt to view opportunities via Arts Council Napa Valley’s quarterly e-newsletters.

ARTS EDUCATION Our longest-running program, Arts Education provides matching grants to local schools and community organizations to help fund in-school and after-school arts programming. With the goal of diversifying creativity in the classroom, we conduct professional development workshops and support mentoring programs for artists who want to learn how to bring their creative skills to students. As of 2010, Arts Council Napa Valley is the official arts education contractor to the Napa County Office of Education (NCOE), providing teaching artists for after-school and special programs.

Our Online Artist Registry showcases the work of local artists, writers, designers and musicians in an online menu format available as a free community resource.
