Artist Logistics Assistant
The Artist Logistics Coordinator is responsible for administrative tasks related to travel and lodging for those Artists performing at the SFJAZZ Center and/or venues contracted by SFJAZZ for off-site performances. This position also requires driving SFJAZZ and SFJAZZ-leased vehicles to transport artists as related to performances, as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Book air travel and/or hotels for artists
Act as direct contact for incoming and outgoing artists and their management
Manage transportation updates related to changes in rehearsal times, hotel availability and flight cancellations.
Act as lead driver for SFJAZZ performances including greeting visiting Artists at Bay Area airports and drive them to hotel(s) and/or venue(s)
Compile artist information packets
Credit card statement processing and coding for logistics
Work collaboratively and professionally with SFJAZZ Production and Artistic departments
Any other duties as assigned
Two to Three years of experience in the customer service or entertainment field
Experience working with high profile personalities, clients and/or artists
Experience scheduling staff
Prior experience operating SUVs or vans
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Able and willing to remain on-call during performances (typically Thursday – Sunday)
Exceptional verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills
Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Able to drive a 15-passenger van
Clean DMV record
Salary is commensurate with experience.
